Dear family and friends,
Sloane and I are off on an adventure, and we need your help…
Over the years, over late night glasses of red wine, Sloane and I have often talked about making our own film. ‘Real life’ and ‘being sensible’ have always intervened, but recently we’ve been feeling like we only have one shot at life – and if this is something we really want to do, we need to go for it.
We decided we would sell our house in Twickenham and put the profits towards making our dream a reality. I wrote a script (as some of you know, we have a couple of our TV pilot scripts doing the rounds in L.A. and getting a great response) and will, of course, compose the score. Sloane will be using all her years of experience to direct and production design – she has been in the film industry since she was four! We’ve been lucky enough to get some great talent on board and have also found a few investors (we need more…so if anyone has any rich buddies or bags of cash under the bed let us know and we will send out the business plan!!). The shoot starts in late July, and I am going to paste a little bit about the film below.
As I said at the beginning of the email – we need your help. One of the most important things we can do at this stage is to start promoting the project and we want to ask you to all please follow us on twitter, facebook, myspace, blog.dimensionsthemovie.com, etc. We need to ask you to tell your friends, post it on your twitter, facebook, digg, delicious, etc. accounts and keep commenting on and retweeting/reposting links that interest you over the coming months. As James Brown said, ‘Please, Please, Please’!
Thank you so much!

‘It’s dark in here. Pitch black. Silent. This is where it all began and where it all ends. Perhaps, though, it isn’t as simple as that. We see our lives, the moments from our birth to our death, as a straight line – never bending, never curving. Those are old ideas, though, and now it is time for you to discard them and imagine more. It’s time to open your eyes to the possibility that time isn’t a simple ruler, ticking off the moments between the beginning and the end. Time is a line, a loop, a tangle of threads, a sculpture of dazzling complexity.’
Dimensions: A Line, A Loop, A Tangle of Threads
Stephen is a brilliant young boy who lives in England, in what appears to be the 1920s – but nothing in Stephen’s life is quite as it seems. His world is turned upside down upon meeting a charismatic and inspirational professor at a garden party, who demonstrates to Stephen and his friends what life would be like if they themselves were merely one, or two, dimensional beings. He then proceeds to explain that by manipulating other dimensions, time travel may actually be possible.
As Stephen’s life unfolds, events lead him to dedicate himself to turning the Professor’s theories of time travel into reality. Jealousy, love, obsession, temptation and greed surround him, influencing his fragile mind and the direction of his work.
